In April of 2008, Carmelo Anthony stepped up the closing table with $12,000,000, according to public records and went home to 6965 S. POLO RIDGE Dr. in Littleton, Colorado 80128-2536.

Then just a few days ago on June 10, 2011, or a little over three years later, a sales price of

$6,180,000 was recorded to an “undisclosed buyer”.

You can easily do the math, but somewhere near $6,000,000 dollars was yanked from Carmelo’s pocket by the career move and market conditions.  Was the property ever worth $12M, was it a great deal at $6M or is this just the cost of doing business in the NBA.  You be the judge!
